Well, our American value system makes possible a prosperous secular society where people are not forced into unhappy or destructive marriages, where women and men are viewed as equal, and where people are increasingly free to love whom they choose regardless of gender or race. This whole scenario doesn't take the thinking of a rocket scientist. I'm much older than most writers here and I've seen things come and go. The "great wonderful better than all" America needs to keep it simple and fall to its knees and beg for God's mercy.
