  • great idea. I'm thinking of going. I'll be in NC for MLK weekend for a conference - ScienceOnline09. I think I might stay over a few more days and go to DC to witness this historic event.

It certainly is an awesome time in history.

  • I live in Chicago, IL. and I would love to be a part of History. I was Born 01/17/1956, Dr.King was born Inauguration is 01/20. I do not want to miss this. I would love for my daughter and I to participate. What can we do? What should we do? I am an Admissions Advisor for a College in Chicago Illinois. Do you need volunteers to assist with this? Thank you so very much for this wonderful opportunity!
  • I apologize for taking so long to respond!

I cried for several days! I was one of the people at Grant Park in the City of Chicago! I was lucky enough to obtain tickets! Along with the rest of the group here, my daughter and I campaigned hard!

    Hard work does pay off!

We were right up front, stood in the line starting at 3:30PM CST! We did not realize until the next day the multidude of people that were standing behind us!

Michigan Ave. was full of people instead of traffic! It was the best site that I have ever witnessed in my entire life!

We were blocked off from the rest of the crowed and as we exited people were high fiving us and cheering us for the outcome of the election!

People of ALL cultures, social statues and religions were there!

I am 52 years of age and never in my life time did I think that I could experience something of this nature!

It was wonderful! Just like the world is meant to be!

I am trying so hard to get to Washington for the Inaguration. I do not know how, but I AM praying on this.

If anyone out there is from Chicago going there and you have extra room, please let me know.

If there is any one in D.C. that has room on their floor for a supporter, please let me know.

Life is limited and I am a true believer that we should live life at it's fullest.

Please allow me to experience this life changing event!
