We'll see. But even if they did, by that time e-readers would be much cheaper, just like all technology becomes more affordable over time.

The sharing thing is hard for me to even imagine. I don't know if there would be e-libraries (if there were, there'd seemingly be no reason to buy e-books) or would people be illegally sharing books like they do with music? I have no idea.

Re: New Amazon E-reader Shows Promise

That high cost isn't a small downside. It's huge, especially when the time comes that some/many books only are released in electronic form.

People without the funds to buy a Kindle or other e-book reader just won't have access to those books. It would be a brand-new digital divide.

And it would be so hard to share books. I can't count the number of times a friend or relative has handed me a book s/he owned and said "You have to read this!"

No more of that with the Kindle.

Still, I think it's a fantastic device. Not buying one yet, though. I need to see them get some traction with the general public before I go for it quite yet.

Re: New Amazon E-reader Shows Promise

that's a good look paula. thanks.

Re: New Amazon E-reader Shows Promise

Hey Andrea -

The next time you write a post about a product like this, make sure to join Amazon Associates for free and just drop in the link code so that all the people who come to this post and buy an Amazon Zindle thru your site, you'll get paid a portion of it!

See how the Lord blest me to make nearly $4,000 in 6 weeks by mostly pitching Amazon products?

I just want to help a sistah out.
