A good family show with healthy images of a black family and a blended family.

Re: on Girlfriends . . .

I love that show!
I'm surprised that it isn't given more credit for being as good as it is.
Especially with Kelsey Grammar as Producer.
The writing is tight and compelling as well as the characters.
Great... that's it is their 7th season!

Adrienne Zurub
http://www.audibledarkness.bebo.com

Re: on Girlfriends . . .

I've never been able to get into that show. Occasionally I may watch an episode but the subject matter is forced. The acting is trite and contrived. Trust me, I've tried to like the show from day one but it never pulled me in. I could care less about the characters and the laugh factor is practically nonexistent. I'm not into that slapstick type humor (I am an educated individual) but the show has always been lacking on some level, IMO.

Re: on Girlfriends . . .

My wife watches this show regularly - which is saying something because she doesn't do too much TV, but I haven't been able to really get into it.

I often feel guilty when good black shows are on and I don't bend over backwards to support them - especially since I have no problem calling out wack black shows and the powers that be for promoting them. I'm going to try to make a better effort to watch Everybody Hates Chris.
