Wonderful entry. I happen to be familiar with a profession that is regarded very highly, but if people knew more about some of the people in the profession, the high regard would dissipate, quickly.
I person who has a lot may be a dog, walking on two legs. Yes, they may know how to "play the game", and be "professional" (whatever that means).
Additionally, I don't believe in the "American dream", either. Sometimes, who makes it where depends upon who one knows, meets, or how LUCKY a person gets. I happen to fall into that last category.
